I woke up with full energy. I was ready to crush the
day. I went to the hotel with positivity. Went to the spot and took
charge. Two more guests have checked in last night. Total number became four. I
called up both of our drivers and told them report on time.
One of our guest asked whether I can arrange the cab
for her to go to the movies. I arranged them on time. And the other guests also
wanted us to arrange cabs to different destinations. It felt good. Second day
was the real start of the IFFK duty. We got somewhat of an idea about our job. We
have to arrange the cabs for the guests and we should call the volunteers at
the respective destinations let them know about the arrival of the guests and
handover the cab details such as drivers name, phone number and vehicle registration
number.
As the lunch hour was nearing, we had to distribute
the lunch coupon to our guests. We directed all the guests to horizon hotel. Our
lunch was never arranged till then. We had to go out and eat. After lunch two
more guests have checked in. It was none other than Mr Ashvin Kumar, the director
of the film ‘No fathers In Kashmir’.
The people from IFFK delivered the festival kit and
guest ID card for the guests. We got busy with handing over the kit and ID to
the respective people. ID card for Mr Ashvin Kumar was still pending. I had to
take a picture of him and send it to my boss in order to print an ID. He was a
little pissed on the delay. But we managed to deliver the ID card within 2
hours.
Total guest number is six now. As the dinner time
arrived, we handed over the dinner invitation to the guests. Second day’s
dinner was at Hycinth. We arranged cabs for the guests. Went to Tagore and ate
dinner with friends. Ended the somewhat of a busy day with a ‘Kulukki Sarbath’
from Buhari.
